A flawless paint job's impact on a vehicle's presence is unbeatable. One look at a Volkswagen Caddy rolling out of our state-of-the-art paint booths, and you'll be stopped in your tracks by that glass-smooth, glossy finish. Whether you're after a classy OEM respray or something wildly custom, this is where the magic happens.
The Prep Work
Of course, the road to perfection in automotive painting starts well before any paint touches the spray gun. It all kicks off with full chemical decontamination—an intense cleaning process to remove every last speck of grime, grease, rail dust, and other contaminants from the van's exterior panels.
Once that chalky canvas is prepped for showroom shine, we can tackle any dents, dings, or rust issues that need addressing before painting.
Our skilled body techs work their metal magic, painstakingly massaging out imperfections and seamlessly repairing bad spots.
With an unblemished, surgically clean base to work from, it's off to the spray booths.
These sterile, climate-controlled chambers are where the real fun begins. We have two massive downdraft paint booths dedicated to laying down that endless mirror finish on full vans, individual components or just about any other part you can dream up.
Temperature, humidity, air pressure—every environmental factor is dialled in for optimal spraying conditions. This regulated atmosphere prevents contaminants or fluctuations from compromising the flawless application process.
Our spray painters are certified Volkswagen Audi Group veterans who can produce finishes up to that vaunted OEM+ spec. With state-of-the-art robotic colour-scanning and tinting equipment, they can perfectly match any paint code, including custom shades or even that tricky-to-replicate factory orange peel texture.
The Process
With the booths prepped, it's time to get spraying. First, an adhesion primer gimps the surface area for the upcoming colour coats. Then it's onto the paint itself, applied in a dazzling crosshatch pattern for beautifully even coverage across every nook and cranny.
If it's a full van respray, we'll patiently let the base coat cure and dry prior to applying crystal clear topcoats. This incredibly robust two-part lacquer gets baked to an otherworldly shine in the booth's infrabay before being cooled and prepped for final assembly.
It's a long, multi-step dance that takes the better part of a week for full resprays. But let us tell you that standing back and taking in that final show car finish as it emerges into the light is absolute automotive art brought to life.
The Sky's the Limit
Best of all, those magical spray booths unlock a world of limitless customisation possibilities. Sure, we can bang out factory-fresh Volkswagen paint codes across any Caddy component all day long. But what if you want to get a bit more creative?
How about a full flip liquid candy paint conversion dripping with radiant flakes and pearls? Wildstyle race-inspired liveries are all the rage these days, too.
Or perhaps a tastefully accented two-tone look is more your speed? You provide the vision, and we'll provide the skills and equipment to make it a reality.
That big hollow room may just look like a clean white box. But to the VW Caddy customisation craftsmen who call it home, it's an empty canvas awaiting your brushstrokes. Ready to unleash your inner Picasso?
