£110K VW Caddy World Record | TMG RS3 Caddy
£110,000 for a Volkswagen Caddy. Sold.
Not a theoretical valuation. Not a build cost. Not a figure created for social media.
A customer has purchased this bespoke TMG Mk4 Volkswagen Caddy for £110,000 and, as far as we are aware, that sets a new world record benchmark for a custom Volkswagen Caddy sale of its kind.
For TMG Specialist Vans, this represents much more than one vehicle sale.
It represents how far the VW Caddy scene, our customers, our team and the entire TMG brand have come.
The £110,000 TMG RS3 Caddy
This isn't an ordinary modified VW Caddy.
At the heart of the build is Audi's legendary 2.5-litre five-cylinder RS3 engine, producing approximately 550BHP, combined with a full four-wheel-drive conversion.
The specification includes:
- 550BHP RS3 5-cylinder engine
- Full 4WD drivetrain conversion
- Mk4 Volkswagen Caddy platform
- Bespoke panoramic roof conversion
- Wingback seats
- Full custom TMG interior
- Bespoke exterior styling
- Extensive mechanical, electrical and bodywork development
It's the sort of specification that only a few years ago would have sounded almost ridiculous on a Volkswagen Caddy.
Today, it has sold for £110,000.
A New World Record Benchmark for the VW Caddy
TMG has been pushing the value, engineering and potential of the Volkswagen Caddy platform for years.
We've watched the level of Caddy builds progress from simple styling and suspension modifications into full bespoke interiors, digital cockpits, engine conversions, high horsepower builds, four-wheel-drive systems and one-off bodywork.
Now the benchmark has moved again.
£110,000.
For years we've heard the same comments:
- "It's only a van."
- "It's only a Caddy."
- "They're not worth that."
- "Nobody will ever pay that."
Ultimately, social media comments don't decide market value.
Customers do.
A bespoke vehicle is worth what somebody is prepared to pay for the engineering, craftsmanship, specification, individuality and exclusivity behind it.
And somebody has now paid £110,000 for a TMG Volkswagen Caddy.
Building One of the Best VW Caddys in the World
TMG has never wanted to build the same van over and over again.
Our approach has always been simple:
What can we do next that hasn't already been done?
That mentality has taken our Caddy builds from modified diesels and styling packages into an entirely different territory.
- RS3 engine conversions
- Four-wheel-drive conversions
- High horsepower Caddys
- Digital cockpit conversions
- Bespoke interiors
- Custom exterior styling
- Panoramic roof conversions
- One-off paintwork
- Full bespoke vehicle builds
The £110,000 Mk4 Caddy brings many of those ideas together into one vehicle.
In our opinion, it is quite simply one of the best Volkswagen Caddys in the world.
From Trade Motor Group to TMG Specialist Vans
TMG started life as Trade Motor Group, buying and selling ordinary used cars.
There was no huge backing, no blueprint and certainly no guarantee that what we were trying to build would work.
We spotted an opportunity within the commercial vehicle market and started doing things differently.
What began as buying, modifying and selling vehicles gradually developed into what is now TMG Specialist Vans.
Today, TMG is much more than a van dealership.
We design, develop and build bespoke Volkswagen Caddys, create one-off engineering projects and continually look for new ways to push the platform forward.
Nearly One Million Followers and a Worldwide TMG Community
One of the biggest changes has been the community that has grown around TMG.
Across our social media platforms, the TMG brand is now followed by nearly one million people.
Some are customers.
Some own Caddys themselves.
Some simply enjoy watching crazy automotive projects being built.
People have followed the successes, the failures, the late nights, the development work and the ideas that initially sounded impossible.
That following has helped turn TMG from a traditional motor business into a genuine automotive brand with an audience far beyond Manchester and the UK.
And we don't take that support for granted.
TMG Competitions – Making These Builds Accessible
We also understand something very important.
Not everybody can spend £40,000, £60,000 or £110,000 on a custom VW Caddy.
That's one of the reasons we created TMG Competitions.
TMG Competitions gives people who follow our vehicles the opportunity to potentially own the same type of builds they see us creating, without needing the budget normally required to purchase one outright.
For a few pounds, somebody can potentially go from watching one of our vans online to having the keys handed to them.
For us, that connection between TMG Specialist Vans, TMG Competitions and the TMG community is a massive part of where the brand is going next.
Using the TMG Brand to Give Something Back
Growing an audience of this size has also given us the opportunity to do more than build cars and vans.
Over the years we've been able to use the TMG platform to support charities, good causes and people who genuinely need help.
Breaking records and building extreme vehicles is exciting, but being in a position where the reach of the brand can also help other people is something we're equally proud of.
Pushing the VW Caddy Scene Forward
We genuinely believe progress is good for everybody involved in the Volkswagen Caddy community.
Competition is healthy.
New ideas are healthy.
People questioning what's possible is healthy.
Every time somebody raises the standard, everyone else has a new benchmark to chase.
Some businesses will stay comfortable building what they already know.
That's fine.
Standing still has never interested us.
While some people commented about what couldn't be done, what wasn't worth doing and what nobody would ever buy, we kept developing.
They commented. We built.
And this time, the result is a £110,000 Volkswagen Caddy.
What Is the Most Expensive Volkswagen Caddy?
Based on the sales and builds known to us at the time of publication, TMG believes this £110,000 Mk4 RS3 Caddy represents a new world record benchmark for a custom Volkswagen Caddy sale of its kind.
Importantly, the £110,000 figure represents a genuine completed customer sale rather than an estimated value, asking price or hypothetical build cost.
The vehicle combines a 550BHP Audi RS3 five-cylinder engine, four-wheel drive, a bespoke panoramic roof, wingback seats and extensive TMG engineering.
Is This the Best VW Caddy in the World?
"Best" will always be subjective.
But when you combine the specification, the engineering and a completed £110,000 sale price, we believe this vehicle has a very strong claim to being one of the best Caddys ever built.
For us, it represents exactly what TMG is about.
Taking something familiar and pushing it far beyond what people expect.
A Personal Word From Anton
When I started Trade Motor Group, I could never have imagined I'd one day be writing about selling a £110,000 VW Caddy.
I remember buying and selling normal used cars and just trying to make the next deal work.
Now I look at the team, the facilities, the builds, TMG Competitions, the customers and nearly one million people following the journey and I'm incredibly proud of what we've created.
There have always been doubters.
There have always been comment heroes telling us what a Caddy is worth, what we should build and what apparently nobody will ever buy.
I've learnt to let the results answer them.
£110,000. Sold.
I'm proud of everyone at TMG who contributed to the build, grateful to the customer who trusted us to create it and grateful to every person who continues to support the brand.
But we're not finished.
Records are there to be broken.
And if somebody beats this one, we'll just have to build something better.

The Next Generation of TMG Volkswagen Caddys
The Volkswagen Caddy has come a long way from being viewed purely as a small commercial van.
For TMG, that's exactly what makes the platform so exciting.
There are still ideas we haven't built.
There are still records we haven't broken.
And there are still plenty of people telling us things can't be done.
Perfect.
£110,000 VW Caddy.
550BHP. RS3 powered. 4WD.
World record benchmark.
Built by TMG Specialist Vans.
And we're nowhere near finished.
